Only two days to the great event: armored Rome for the sanctification of two Popes

by Pierpaolo De Natale - 800.000 pilgrims and about 2.300 men who will support the armed forces of Rome and Vatican, 19 Heads of State, 24 Prime Ministers and 23 Ministers sent rapresenting some other countries: here are the numbers of the ceremony that will take place on 27th April in St. Peter's Square.

Preparations continue for the historical event with which - on the next Sunday - John XXIII and John Paul II will be sanctified.
The ceremony will obviously be celebrated by Pope Francis and the Pope emeritus Benedict XVI's presence is assured - according to some voices, Ratzinger will probably assist Bergoglio during the ceremony, not participating just as spectator.

For those who won't reach St. Peter's Square, giant screens were installed in Piazza Navona, Piazza Farnese, Castel Sant'Angelo and in other parts of the capital which have not yet been formalized. The whole machine organization of Civil Protection - moreover - is already at work to guarantee the success of the event.
